solid model conversions

We currently started working off models created from UG. I am converting them from a parasolid. What i was wondering, Is there a way I can alter a model that is sent to me or do i have to add geometry to it. I know if I create a model I can do this Through Analize and Edit. But that dont seem to work with the models I am receiving.

dan m,

Welcome to the forum. smile.gif Converting solid files from another CAD source to Mcam just brings in the model itself, not the "history" of how that model is created. You can always create more geometry and add or cut features into the model that was converted. In Mcam V9.0SP1, there is a function in the Solids menu called "Find Features", which can find all holes and fillets in a solid model and generate a mini-history of those features. This information then has parameters which can be adjusted. HTH biggrin.gif
