Group Names in Operations Manager

I want to output the group names into the NC file during Posting... I've found several other comments, i.e. Material, MC8 Name, Post Name etc., but I can't finger out the command for Group Names.

Do I have to declare it using the prmcode in Misc Output, or?? (I'm using the default Fanuc Post with mods for our (ack) Miltronics.)

One way would be to copy the "Operation Name"

into the comment section of the programs.

I'm already using the Op comment, and need to use the Group comment seperatly, such as to define certain groups of operations, like all ops to do 1/4-20 holes, and all ops to do 3/8-16 holes, etc.

I looked in mpmaster.pst, it did not appear to have comments for group names.

I did not say that what you needed was in there. I meant for you to look at how they are outputting some of there info. This would be the way you would go about implementing what you want in your post. Once again, only look at there post as an example.

It is NOT possible to export operation group names to the nci file and nc file. Only the operation comments are output when the job setup 'Output operation comments to the NCI' is enabled.
