Sir

We have 2 Hardinges with the Fanuc 18T, a Conquest T42SP and a Conquest T51SP. We use an ANCIENT DOS-based editor for DNC purposes on our Fanuc / Yasnac machines (we have a custom program developed in-house for the Okumas) and don't have any probs. We use 7/E/2 parity at 9600 Baud and I don't recall seeing this issue.

Sounds like a CR/LF issue; did you try the "Generic Fanuc" in the Cimco transmission package?

Sorry I can't be more help

I have a Hardinge with 18T. I don't program it with MC. They wouldn't buy me lathe package, but it do store the programs on my PC. I'm having the same thing happen to me with the extra EOBs between lines when transmitting with CIMCO. I've tried everything I can think of to fix this with NO luck. I'm going to keep a close watch on this topic.

Sir (Do you not want to share your real name? I just can't type "DogFartz" with a straight face)

You have still had no luck with this?

As Andrew (and I) said, though Andrew said it better than I did, I think you are getting an extra CR or LF code from the machine (/13 or /10); I don't know where the parameters are that handle that offhand (Fanucs are a pain in the a$$ sometimes, Okuma makes a much more user-friendly control for this type of stuff) but they must be accessible.

Where are the Cimco guys on this? Hopefully the can help you..
