Post Processor Problems

cuttingedge,

Sounds like a problem I had with a control I did some programming for.

The first program I did for this shop worked great. The owner loaded the program for the first time, hit cycle start and went home. In the morning he had the finished part.

Fortunately he told me about that and I mentioned that he might not want to do that in the future.

The next program made huge and unpredictable wild arcs. After a few phone calls, I happened to remember that I had filtered the second program to make it smaller since his control was old and had little memory. It also could not do the G18 and G19 arcs that the filter produced. Probably why there is a choice not to make arcs in the version 9 filter.
