In V8 using zoom-window, I get a snapshot of graphics backround at my second cursor click?

Turn down the video aceleration, find a better driver, find a new video card.

Just put a new Diamond Fire GL1 in and still doing it. Will work on drivers.

I've cured this prob before. Try setting 16Bit colour for starters. If all else fails turn off the hardware vid aceleration That card is mentioned in an old thread here Old thread that i found when I searched so somebody (Mike Harrington) is using this thing sucessfully. There must be good drivers somewhere.

 

What kind of card is it one like here Cerative Labs GL1

Or one like here Fire GL website

Or are they the same thing? Good luck on the driver search, I hope you aren't expementing on Win NT4 because it hates the wrong vid drivers

It isn't graphics card related. This can happen when the "transition effect for menus and tooltips" is turned on.

 

Outside of Mastercam, right-click on the desktop, select 'properties', 'appearance', 'advanced', and uncheck the 'transition effect . . . . ' checkbox.

 

That should solve the problem.

Allan is spot on, I had exactly the same problem with my diamond Fire_GL2 card updated the drivers from the web site and have never had a problem since.
