CIMCOedit communications

Does anyone know what could be the problem if I can send to machines fine, but cannot recieve from them with the CIMCOedit communications? Sending to HAAS Mills, Hardinge Lathes fine, but can't recieve. I know it is possible because we have an older program set up specifically for us that will work. Also, can't get it to send to a Methods Slant 50 turning center. If anyone knows something, Id really appreciate it, thanks.

I believe CIMCO allows different settings for send and recieve. Check the settings on recieve and make sure they match the settings for send. Also, your controllers may allow different settings for each also, check that as well.

huntermc,

What release of the CimcoEdit are you using? I think they're up to V4.31.05 right now. The latest downloads can be found on the link provided at the bottom of this forum page. If you're using the OEM version built into Mcam, download the latest version and install it in the same directory as the original software (usually CMcam9CommonEditors for V9). HTH cheers.gif
