Transform Issues

I'm running Mill 9 level 3 and trying to do some mirroring on a few LH-RH parts. The desired cutting method for my situation is a parallel-finish. It works great in original position, but after mirroring it always generates the toolpath in a conventional direction of cut. Even after clicking 'Reverse Toolpath' it still comes out conventional so I hope to get some better input from you guys. Thanking you in advance, have a good one.

Don't know if this will help, but after a transforsmation operation, I always check my surface normals. I have had some big problems with pro/e iges parts.

check the cut angle and change it in te transform path the tranform path direction remains as the original. IE: if the original cut angle was 45deg. the tranform path is also 45deg. Ive seen this before in Ver 8.1

Try Reverse Path and Change Side. This also works when copying an operation which was chained from the opposite side of the part.

I also had a problem with a transform/mirrored toolpath. I could get it to reverse the direction (still climb cut), but it wanted to start at the finish depth and work its way back up. Here is the link for my thread. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Last resort - check the "Create new operations and geometry" option and generate a new independant operation.

Thanks for the varied input guys. I passed this one onto our reseller and went the old-fashioned way by creating mirrored geometry ahead of time. Hopefully this bug will be fixed in the next release of MasterCAM.
