HELP FORCE RETRACT MCAMX5 DOESNT WORK

HAS ANYONE HAD PROBLEMS WITH SURFACE HIGH SPEED FORCE RETRACT NOT WORKING SINCE THE X5 UPGRADE. IF SO, HAS ANYONE FIXED IT.

I'm guessing he is talking about the "Tool Inspection" function. It has a "Force retract" after a certain time or path length...

Checked both posts from x4 and x5 and there completely identical, except from the top version numbers. All tool forced retracts are check marked for 30 minute intervals. Still nothing in G-code.

Called my retailer and they said it was a problem in the nci and cnc software is on top of it. said something like it was a tier 1 level fix and it could be released in a stand alone update.

The way it is currently implemented, tool inspection is only applied at the end of a (raw) cut pass. A cutting pass will not be interrupted in the middle of a cut. The time and length trigger are only output at the end of that pass.

 

Would you consider it a high priority to implement it more precisely like it was done in Lathe over other improvements or knowing how it functions currently is adequate?
