Saving Job Setup values

I don't see where to save the job setup values. Each time I open a new file, or close and reopen mc, my settings are back to what they were. I want to add 40 to the tool number's diamter and set my spindle speed to something other than 5000.

I searched prev posts but did not find answer to this.

Thanks...

Looks like I spoke too soon...

My values do not show up when creating toolpaths. I can go back into the Job Setup from the screen/config... and they are still set there, but not when I enter Job Setup anywhere else the are gone.

Yesterday, I closed/reopended mc, opened and closed a few files and my values stayed there. Today, they are not there even after setting them again.

A side note, today the MCU button is on top of the Job Setup button (overlapping), and yesterday the Job setup buttom was positioned lower on the screen than the MCU button.

Any ideas???

Well, now it works again... I have not changed anything except to program a part. I entered my values into Job Set up after doing a few tool paths, and it seems to be working again.

As far as the buttons; I went into screen/config... (as above) and the MCU button was not on top of the Job Setup button, the MCU button was not there at all. That's probably what I saw yesterday also.

I appreciate the responses.

Changes to the operation defaults only affect new files (and new toolpaths in existing file). Becasue Job Setup is retained along with the toolpath information in exisitng files, you won't see the effect of any changes you made in those exisitng files.

I downloaded the MCU patch and will install it later.

I did not know this, and it explains a few others problems I was having.

Thank you very much for the assistance!
