Changing Color in X5

When working with imported surfaces I most always run the C/hook colrsurf.dll which will automatically change all the surfaces to different colors. Works absolutely great to find those small fillets and little patches.

Of course I would also like to be able to change all solid colors to a different color with a easy key stroke and not have to individually select hundreds of solid faces. Is this possible to do?

There are some new analyze features in X5

Check out Analyze/Test Surfaces and Solids/Curvature.

Probably wouldn't hurt to check out the "Whats New File" there's a lot of new stuff there

It depends on what you are trying to do.

Change the whole solid, YES. Change entity color< Solids< select solid.

Certin solid faces, Idon't think so. You will have to select the faces themselfes.
