How can you shift gears when the M03 has already been commanded?

 

For the DOC change my Fanuc 10 post has this in the format statements to give you 4-place with no decimal (U.100 would be U1000):

 

fmt U 16 depthcc #Changed from 2 (cdm)

 

I am outputting the gear range change (pgear in the post) before the spindle command (which is what I'd consider normal) so the code looks like this:

 

G00 T0101 M25

G97 S1617 M03

 

This is handled in ltlchg:

 

toolno = t * 100 + tloffno

pbld, n, *sgcode, *toolno, pgear, e #Added pgear to this line (cdm)

 

 

Then you need to find where it already is called and comment it out (#)

 

If you really want it after the M03, you can play around with where you call pgear until you get the output you want
