Highfeed function request

I am proposing that in future releases, the Highfeed function should base the Material Removal Rate on the Feed/speed and depth of cut of the specific operation instead of a set value in the tool parameter page. If I am taking .200 depth of cut rather than .100 depth of cut, my material removal rate has changed drastically, even though the same feed and RPM is programmed.

 

Ideally, the High Feed option should interrogate the operation to find the specific material removal rate FOR THAT OPERATION (not the tool), and use that as a basis for optimization.

This request is more likely to be considered if it is e-mailed to [email protected]. That is the central location to which dealers and customers should be sending requests. The same goes for bugs.

It's one thing to get others to hear your ideas (and probably attach ideas of their own) but it's another thing completely to get those ideas to the people who can do something about them.
