Define a string in post

Can anyone tell me how to define a string with the pound symbol (#) in it? I have tried this:

sdpound8 D#8

As expected the string is terminated after D.

The Post book indicates that it can be included in a string by inclosing it in quotes (c12-p1). I have tried various combinations of quotes, double quotes and 35 but nothing seems to work.

The string select function will not support a pound sign. You need to use the string in a post block with logic to detrimine it's output.

spaces = 0

n, " D", 35, "8", e

spaces = 1

[d0gFartz]

Like Allan said you need to use the MS-DOS

equivalancy to the character
