Misc Integers

There is a Misc Integer "Cutter Comp for Advanced Multi-Axis" switch on or off in the post for a Mazak Variaxis 730.How is that used ?

5ax comp can be as simple as tcp or cutter comp and tool posturing. I will take a look at the lpost and see what it specifically controls

How's it's used depends on what the post writer intended it do so as Jimmy said you need to read the header of the post and look for comments in the post related to that Misc Value or 5 axis comp. If you can't find anything then you need to contact the vendor or person that wrote the post for you.

I have the Inhouse post and 2 variaxis 730's with matrix controllers. It simply outputs g41.2 for left or g42.2 for right the same as setting your compesation type in the classic 5-axis toolpaths to wear. It is a 3-dimensional compensation type and I think it is inteneded for use with g43.4. I have not played with it to much though. I use g54.2 mainly and simply use g41 and g42. If you have more specific questions I will be glad to help if I can.

Thank Guys, We've played with it some and as Jeremy stated the compensation in the 5 axis toolpath works fine.
