First time here so be gentle with me

Problem is when I post I receive error:

unsupported function call

Recompile with new m_*.h files,

link with new m_*.obj files. I can post only after clearing this error. But what is causing this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You are trying to use a C-Hook with the wrong version of Mastercam.

 

The subs.dll you mention is for Mastercam version 9.1 only, and does not work with Mastercam 9.0 or 9.0 SP1 (or earlier versions of Mastercam).

To correct the problem, you wil need to get a version of the C-Hook in question which is compiled for version 9.1. To get that, you first need to find out, which C-Hook it is. Since the error occurs when you try to post a file, it is probably a C-Hook, whic is called by the post processor, in which case you should look in our post processor. In Mastercam, you select Files -> Edit -> PST, and then you look near the bottom for a line similar to this:

 

91. Name of executable post processor? MP

 

If it says something other than MP at the end of that line, then that is the name of the C-Hook called by the post, and you should contact your Mastercam reseller for a new version of that C-Hook.

 

If it says MP there, then it might be a little harder to find out, though it should list the name in the error message that shows up.

It sounds like the V9.1 patches have been applied to V9.0? go and delete the subs.dll in your mcam9apps folder. Should be good to go. However for a more through cleaning, open the patch file you downloaded using winzip figure out ever file it put in and get rid of em. Then re-install your mcam9 off the CD and get the proper patches Here
