V9 to X5

Hello, I was wondering if any one could help me. I am thinking of upgrading to X5 from V9 and Im not sure if I would be able to use our existing post processor for V9 and how do I covert it for X5.

Too many things changed after V9 (control def). Some say it will work, I had no luck. Even sent it to my reseller for a "manual update", he sent it back to me with a quote for a new one.:(Ended up starting fresh with mpmaster... I guess it depends on how much your V9 post was tweaked.....

It also depends on how old.

 

You used it in V9 but was it a V9 flavor or a post that's been around since V7 or even earlier.

 

Honestly, start with a fresh one, there are good reasons and new features that can be taken advantage of with the new posts.

I don't consider myself a guru but I've been updating some posts since MCV4 with some difficulty sometimes but they work fine with MC5. They look nothing like they used to. You need a lot of patience. Keep trying.
