Lathe secondary spindle spped/feed on cut-off

I am trying to use the new lathe feature to change the speed / feed on lathe cutoff operations. Using the mplmaster machine definition / post which I just downloaded last week the feed changes fine but the spindle reverses direction at the specified radius. Does anyone else see this issue?

Are you machining past centerline?

The tool has a .012 R so it brings the CL of the R to 0.

Just for a test... stop it short of the centerline (i.e. keep all x values in posted code positive)

see if that stops the reversing spindle

I tried stopping the tool short of X0 with the same results, it also happens with the unedited MPLFAN post so I'm thinking it's a MasterCam thing & not the post or the posts share the same bug(??)

This is with the MPFAN, I also tried with MPLMaster. I cannont get it to change directions like yours does???

Can you put a Zip to go file on the FTP?

The only thing I see there is your tool is already spinning M03 & mine is M04. The file is NDC12560X14200X3750_3PC54830P1.Z2G in the X5_files folder.

I would send this into [email protected], there is definitely something wrong when you try to use M04... and it looks like RPM & CSS get reversed??? there are a couple options for a workaround if you need it. I would just put a misc. integer in the pspindle_l postblock.

I just ran across this same problem. It has nothing to do with centerline. We are running M04, when it got to the assigned diameter it did this:

M05

G96 S800 M03

 

It should have been G97 S800 M04, so it got CSS wrong too besides spindle direction.

 

I have the update MU1 loaded so it hasn't been fixed as of the latest update.
