mastercam on windows 7 home premium

I have windows home premium and I'm trying to run Mastercam on it. I'm having all sorts of problems like crashing when saving and the like. Is there a big difference when running windows 7 professional verses windows 7 home and what are they. I may need to make a point to get 7 professional.

The crashing issue is not because of the OS, most likely hardware/driver related.
