hurco vm1 communications

We have a Hurco vm1 and i can save programs from the machine to the pc no problem but when i go from the pc to the machine i get nothing. I am using cimco edit v5 to transfer files.

The machine settings are

Protocal = level1 cts/rts

Baud Rate = 9600

Source/dest = memory

 

the pc settings are

port = com1

stop bits = 2

parity = even

Baud Rate = 9600

Data Bits = 7

Flow Control = hardware

 

The control on the hurco is a ultramax.

No it has not worked in the past i am just trying to set it up. What do u mean by triggers?

Start and end triggers.

Could be set to anything, but most I have seen are "%" for the start and end.

I don't know too much about it, but pretty sure they are machine specific... Hopefully someone will chime in, or a call to your reseller might yield some help...

You need to set the triggers in the software (cimco???),

then you need to make sure you have a % at the beginning and end of the program.
