Tool List posted with program ?

Hi all,

We use several different machines and posts here, some post out the tool list at the begining of the program, and others do not. Not being all that familiar with editing posts and all, can anyone tell me how I can tell MC to post out the tool list with the program ?

First save a copy of your post, then look in your post for the following and set it to what you want.

 

tool_info : 2 #Output tooltable information?

#0 = Off - Do not output any tool comments or tooltable

#1 = Tool comments only

#2 = Tooltable in header - no tool comments at T/C

#3 = Tooltable in header - with tool comments at T/C

 

 

 

if you don’t see this then this option is not in your post and you would need to edit in a lot more info. I would check for the tool info line in the post first.

A lot of older post do not have that information, but it can be added. I sure someone on the form here can help.

Craig's explanation above is correct for CNC based posts. If you are using an in-house based post (ie mpmaster, mplmaster, etc) the setting will be using the tool_table variable. Setting the variable to 1 will output the tool table:

 

tool_table  : 1     #Tool table, 0=no, 1=yes, 2=Predator VCNC, 3=MetaCut View

Thanks for the help, unfortunately, I can't find anything like that in the post at all.

So what would I have to do to change the post ?

there are no settings that I'm aware of in MC for this.... I have only seen it in the post.

 

One at a time, or give us a list of the posts you need to change...need to know what kind of post your woking with to help ya!
