Makino Pro 3 control

Does anyone know if it is possible to write the tool load data from the custom side of the control so we don't have to calculate and enter it every time a job comes around.??? TIA

Mike, have you tried calling Makino? I don't have any experience with them personally, but they are supposed to have some pretty good applications guys. There's gotta be some way to do what you're wanting.

Prob gonna give them a call Mon. Like you said, there's got to be a way. Sometimes I wish Makino just stuck with the fanuc side for tools.

If you go into MDI and type M233 S1000; then cycle start the control will create a program (O1000) with ALL the values on the custom side. Then that can be downloaded and saved and loaded back into the machine whenever you need it.

You can change the program number you want to create by changing the S value. Let me know if you have more questions.
