I think X5 mastercam came with TECH format of get you power settings for your wire path. I program 2 Mitsubishi's an FX10k and a FA10P. I've never been able to get this to work right in X5. With the fresh loading of X6 I'm determined to figure it out and use it. I downloaded the patch for X6 power libraries. Open MITSUBISHI (FA-S).TECH machine def. and select my contour. I open the power setting and click on tech tab. None of the power setting match what my machines run. My reseller said they should be in there. What am I doing wrong?

For Mitsubishi EDMs, the Machining Condition Data for a specific machine can be "a guess".

Sometimes just knowing the Machine Model# isn't enough.

All is not lost, because you have the PDFs containing the data for your machine(s) - correct?

 

Zip up and send the PDFs to me -> wire <at> mastercam <dot> com

Any luck with this? i would love to an options for other sizes besides .010 dia. wire for FA-S tech. i use .012 wire for almost everything, and there arent any tech files for .012

if you have the PDF data provided by Mitsubishi, we can build you a .TECH file with those settings. Please reference Roger Martin's post above and email him at the address provided so he can create a .TECH file.
