So I Updated to X6 and everything seems to be working. Exept when I try to post process I get this error message . Post is from an earlier version ect... But I have updated that post using the update folder utility, updatepost.dll chook .. And this error keeps coming back .

Should I reinstall X6 or is there something I'm missing ?

It must be pointing to the old version of the post.

Find the post it points to, open it up, the top line should have a "V15" (version 15 = X6) in it.

It does say v14 . Can I manualy change that line ?[post_VERSION] #DO NOT MOVE OR ALTER THIS LINE# V14.00 E1 P0

It does say not to move or alter...

Do I have the wrong updatepost.dll?

^^^^ This is where it put the updated post (V15)

You are still looking at the original if you see V14.

The new one is in Shared MCAMX6, not shared MCAMX5...

DO NOT MOVE OR ALTER THIS LINE#

Don't do it.

You don't happen to have a copy of the old post processor in the same folder as your MCX part file do you? That will overrule anything you have set in the Control Definition.

Also go to Settings, Machine Definition Manager and then go to "Edit the Control Definition". Check that the the Control Def is not holding the path of the old X5 post processor.
