Pocketing

I have to program a part that needs pocketing

and has multi-level floors with slopes and curved sufaces. After I complete the chain- ing process and press done twice to proceed to the toolpath generation stage, I recieve this message: Warning - the boundary does not lie in the construction plane. I assume the boundary the message describes is the pocket boundary that determines the desired toolpath. Please Help!!!

Pocket is a 2D toolpath. Although islands can be of different depths than the floor itself, all chained boundaries have to lie in constant Z planes. You can ensure that a chain lies in a Z plane by using the Squash C-Hook to flatten each chain.

Your description of the part makes this sound like a Multisurface Rough Pocket (Level 3) application rather than a Pocket (Level 1) application.
