Probe Set Y and X location

Recommended Posts

Good Morning Forum

Fanuc 18I on Kiwa Horizontal mill

the 8001 and 8002 probe cycles in the following code should set the G58 Y and X based on the J and C locations in the cycle however these cycles simply set Y and X 0 at the probed location, do you Probe useres see what I am doing incorrectly?

Shouldn’t J be (J0.) instead of (J-.155), that how it would be on Renishaw, not sure on your machine.

As it Turns out you are right it should be Zero however the book reads "Position to Set" this to me implies I can say what I want that location to be, but that is not the Case, Except in the 8003 (Z set cycle) You can set the Z to the K dimension.

Thanks for the help this forum is reaaly a great place...
