Dimensioning

One quick question. I am dimensioning either horizontal or vertical and when I do so I don't have the option to select and endpoint, midpoint etc. etc. for the initial pick. All it will allow me to do is sketch the initial point and then the selection menu appears to select the second point. I'm using 8.1 the exe file is dated 1/26/01

key in letter P for point.

Then seclect what ever point you want.( End point, Midpoint, ....).

Now, i don't know how to set dimension for point in different Cplane.

example: A point at X1.,Y1.,Z1. at Cplane top,

if you want dimension it at Cplane 4, it should have X-1., Y1., Z-1. but it does not,

please help.
