Hey guys new to this site,

 

Have a few questions hopefully I can get some pointers. I have a Mighty viper VTL 16/20M. I was trying to do some C axis face contouring and after back plot and verify it showed the holes being machined correctly (IE round) after loading into the machine it actually cuts slots kind of like egg shapes. Any idea on how to fix this?

If the slots are exactly 2x dia in the long direction, you have a Rad VS Dia problem in your post for live milling.

The slots are not exactly 2x the desired diameter. I'm almost certain that it is a post processor error. I believe that it should be giving a C and X movement along with a feed rate at each line but it doesn't post that way. The slots rotate about the center so they vary in degrees of rotation as they go around the part. Not being parallel with the x axis.

 

Anyone have a good mighty viper VTL post Processor they'd be willing to share?
