Haas - "DNC" off the USB drive

I have a colleague who is running a surfacing programme off the USB drive on a Haas.

Part way through the programme, it encounters an error with:

X-1.334 Y-. Z-1.224 Y2.334

Obviously, it is erroring out because of the rogue Y command. However when the programme is edited, either off, or on, the control. that line of code isn't present.

Has anyone encountered this before?

Haas are particularly sensitive when using cheaper brands like PNY USB drive.

I'd try running a disk check on the USB drive on a Windows PC.

It will very likely find errors of bad sectors and a corrupted file allocation table..

I'd also try using a higher end brand like SanDisk and try to DNC again.

I'm willing to bet that you won't have an issue.
