Internal thread grinding spindle

.What should I do or don't for next time?

Wow, that is an expensive repair, sorry you have to go through that.

Without seeing it, I can only make a few suggestions.

Get a copy of the machine specifications. Then, inspect the dimensions of the bores that the bearings are being pressed into and the shaft that runs in the bearings. If something is too far out of tolerance, or bent, or worn, that could be the cause of your problem.

Also, inspect the bearings after they are pressed in to make sure they are square and in-line.

Mechanically, as long as everything is within specifications, that is all you can do, and of course, I am assuming you are using original replacement parts.

You can also monitor the spindle speeds that the machine is being run at... I would only run it at 70% of your maximum spindle speed for the first 500 hours... and perhaps never go above that if it is an old machine.

Good luck.
