Diameter Offest, Height Offset

I wonder if anybody knows in the tool selection in mastercam mill what are the height and diameter offest indicate? Is this the same as contol pane in the CNC or something else?

Height is your tools z depth(h#) in your gcode. Dia. Is your tools d# in gcode.controls your cutter comp. g41 g42

Ususally these are the same as the tool number. But sometimes people will use multiple offsets for one tool. Here are some examples:

 

Tool #: 1

Diameter Offset: 1

Length Offset: 1

 

T1 M06 <=== Tool #

G0 G90 G54 X0. Y0. S7500 M03

G43 H01 Z2. <=== Length Offset

M08

G1 Z0. F40.

G41 X.275 Y0. D01 <=== Dia Offset

 

Now if you wanted to use a different offset for the length and a different one for the diameter:

 

Tool #: 1

Diameter Offset: 11

Length Offset: 21

if you want your G-CODE have deameter offset,in toolpath, contour exemple,you select "wear",computer deselect.

mastercam will export G41 if cuttool move left workpeice and G42 IF RIGHT SIDE(with FANUC language )
