Thread milling question V9.1

I its been a while since I've used the thread milling program in mastercam v9.1 and I have a problem.

For what ever reason, the major thread diameter box is grayed out, I remember this happening before, but I can't remember what I did to fix it.

You are picking a circle and not a point. Switch to picking a point. Same thing still happens in X7 since the software is thinking you have made the right diameter circle there is no need to worry about the diameter.

 

In X6 and previous version Threamilling is much better and a lot easier. I would strongly consider looking at getting up to date.

Thank you, that was the problem.

Were looking at Mastercam X, but the time to learn the new interface from v9.1 to X6 has been the problem as v9.1 dose everything we need.If it were me, we would have switched over long ago.

Bill understood and you would be surprised how much faster you would be in X. Yes a learning curve, but with WIN 7 64 bit and WIN 8 Mastercam V9 will not work on it.
