Facing w/ x6

I am still a little green with MasterCam, and have a question about facing.

When I create a facing toolpath, I want it to complete 2 passes, where the 1st pass leaves .020 stock and the 2nd pass taking it to 0.0.

The only way I have found to do this is with 2 toolpaths. Is it possible to do this in a single toolpath?

Thanks.

Are you talking about a lathe facing operation?

If so, what I do is select two points with one at the origin and the other at diameter and about +.05". Then I check rough stepover and make sure that finish stepover is check and has a value, in your case .020".

That should generate a roughing pass and a finish pass in one operation.

Still no luck... The rough step over is selected as well as the finish step over. Finish step over is set to .020 and below is the code generated.

The line in red should read Z0.020 which is why I added the Z0.020 after it.

Thanks
