Simulation problem

I'm getting a little window that says:

 

Simulation

 

No tool found for op #1

 

When i click OK then this window comes up:

 

Simulation

 

Error occurred in end session. No valid operation selected! Simulation will not start.

 

The strange thing is it does not do it on all operations. Right now it does it on a Rough Parallel but not on Rough Radial or Finish Flowline. And yes, it is the very same tool. Anyone know what's going on here? We're talking about doing a re-install.

Micro you shouldn't need to do a reinstall for this, did you send a "zip to go" to tech support?

Can you post the Z2G to the forum?

FWIW, double check the tool itself to make sure it's not corrupted.

Micro - I haven't seen that, unless the tool is corrupted. Does it work if you create a new tool for that toolpath and try to backplot it?

I can use the same tool for a couple of different toolpaths. Some are fine and some give me the error. Must be one of the bonuses of using in MC; the developers must be trying to stimulate my aging brain.

I'm not sure what version of MC you're using but I remember coming across this in the past a few times in X5 I believe.

 

Not sure what caused it but I have a feeling it might have been on of two things. First a corrupt tool, second changing, updating, or renumbering a tool for those toolpaths.

I would suggest re-creating a similar toolpath of which you're having problems with, from scratch, using the same tool to test this.

It might give you some resolve.

 

Or try reselecting the tool from with in your current toolpaths and regenerate them. This hasn't worked very well for me in the past for this particular situation, but worth a try.
