3d PDF to mcx

My customer normally sends me a 3d PDF file and a Catia file. This time i only got the PDF.

 

When I export the model out of the PDF as a iges and open in mastercam , it comes in as a billion little triangle surfaces. The part is not complex or big. It should only have maybe 20 surfaces max.

 

Any body see a way to simplify or heal this?

 

I have x7. As well as auto cad inventor and fusion.

You could try SpaceClaim and or Rhino.

Don't have them. My reseller said space claim could fix it a little bit

Ask them to re send the Catia file?

They never sent it . i asked several times and didn't get a response. So I have to start working on this now.

Rhino and Rhino Resurf have free trial versions that are fully functional and allow for 25 saved parts to be done. FYI
