Programming for Top core for mold very tricky

Hey friends,

 

Programmed the top core.  It has lots of surfacing. Its is the FX2 material which is 45 to 48 Rockwell.

Using do feed 3/4 insert cutter to surface rough pocket it out.  Got the program done. But the finish cut is the problem in certain areas. If any one would like to see the file and give me their 2 cents PM me and I will send the file.  I believe the time is around 11 to 12 hrs to machine it..  Its a a fun thing to try and program but machining it is a different story

I am stumped on this job.  I cant figure out what toolpath to use for the surfacing.  Its roughed out. Finished the inside flat and nipple.

finishing islands. Can anyone take a look. I'll send you a file.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your help  Its done.   Waterline worked great on the pads with 5 degree taper transitioning to radius.  Pencil was nice in the corners to finish.

I used shallow to do large radius around the part between big and small pads. then ran pencil ... I made some containment boundaries to do the outside radius surfaces between big outer pads that I connected with  scallop to finish the flat between the large and small pads..
