 Hello ,

In our shop  we ran in some  problem with our Fanuc 18i  control .

Our operator in accident  named his program " o0002\ " (back slash on end ).

As result  we can't delete this program .

Massage we have as program write protected .

How to solve this problem and delete  the program  ?

 Thank you in advance

Double check that you don't actually have the Program Protect Key in the front panel locked.

You can also try the following.

From EDIT, Type O0000,O9999 and then press the delete key.

This should wipe the entire program directory clean.

you might try inserting an "EOB" on that line to see if it moves the "/" to the next line.

if it is saying that the prg. is protected then look at parameter # 3202 bits "NE8" and "NE9"

and switching those from on to off this might let you delete it.

O-9999 does the same thing

Not on all controls.

Some controls require the lower bound program ID and the upper bound ID to be separated by a comma.

Some do not allow the use of O0000 as the lower bound ID.

The 0i-TD and 0i-MD simply use -9999.

The 30i series (30i,31i,32i,300i,310i,320i) has a folder structure and doesn't require the use of an O word program identifier.

The NE8 and NE9 bits only apply to the 8000 group and 9000 group IDs.

Maybe, but on the posters 18i, it does work.
