X8 Memory Table Item Not Found

Using X8 and sometimes when I want to place a note with Create Note a box pops up that says

"Memory Table Item Not Found" and a number.

I click X to close or enter or OK and can not get rid of the box it keeps popping up and I have to use

Task Manager to kill the program and then lose the drawing.

Anyone else have this problem with X8?

Solution?

Thanks

Hi Snaglpuss,

I have another customer reporting the same problem.

When you Create Note, are you creating it with one or more leaders?

Which font(s) do you generally use?

Do you run Mastercam for a long time, perhaps have it open all day?

If yes, I suggest exiting Mastercam once or twice a day. If the problem happens after running Mastercam for a long time, there may be a memory leak. Exiting will free all the memory.

If this seems to solve the problem, please let me know by emailing me at [email protected].

Thank you!

Ruth Delisle

I just had the same problem. X8 has been running for almost 3.5 hrs without exiting, opened up & worked on about 3 different jobs then back to the first. The font used is Stick with one leader. I was using the Create Note earlier with no problem then it started messing up. I did a Ram Saver and that cleared it up for now. Not sure how long this will last. Windows 8.1 Pro, Dell Precision T1700, 16 Gig ram, hybrid HD.
