x8 keeps crashing if I leave it sitting for a few minutes. anyone else having this problem?

Nope.....I go out, my computer goes to sleep, I can turn it back on it's still running....

 

running a screensaver? Try blanking the screen instead.....

Good start but it can depend on which card, NVS cards for example are NOT good cards for anything beyond office work.....

 

Have you recently updated the driver? If not try that.....

 

If you're running a Dell system, dump the OEM driver and go to the NIVIDIA website and get the full driver for your card

no screen saver John. my screen also just goes to sleep. when I come back from the shop it says x8 has stopping working.

Ahh, are your USB ports powering down?

 

Might want to check your power settings....
