haas usb problem

I have a large surfacing file I need to run in our has vf5.the prog is too large to get into the machine so in trying to run it off of the usb stick.it will error out random ly 20 to 40 min into the part eith this error "file beginning end marker missing" I checked the program ans it starts and ends with the % sign.i also made sure it ends with an m02 and not an m30.

the funny thing is that it will run all the way thru on one of our other has machines.

any ideas?could it be a buffering problem?

Use a good named brand USB stick. The cheap ones do strange things. Even on a Haas.

At least that is what I found.

I agree with Machineguy.  Try posting the program to another usb.  Sometimes different usb drives act different on different machines.  Our VF6 has no problem with my usb drive.  I put it in our VF9 and sometimes I have issues.  I don't know why this happens but it does.

thanks ,ill give that a try next time.i had to keep reducing the precision to get it to finally fit in the controller.

the usb stick im using is the one that came with the machine and id says HAAS on it.

Yea even my HAAS USB stick has issues at times.

I just bought a 3 pack of scamdisks at Costco, threw them all in the trash. Nothing but errors.
