Try changing your work offsets for each operation (or rotation) from -1 to 0. This should get the output you are looking for. HTH

I agree with Machineguy. Try posting the program to another usb. Sometimes different usb drives act different on different machines. Our VF6 has no problem with my usb drive. I put it in our VF9 and sometimes I have issues. I don't know why this happens but it does.

There is a speed control slider at the bottom of the backplot window. Make sure it is to the right of center. hth

I have been a little frustrated with a lot of the new toolbar icons. Not just the verify button. I feel like the toolbar icons in X7 and previous versions were a lot easier to identify than the new look in X8.

I have noticed this as well. You can still do what you want to do but you have to click the end of your number in just the right place. Or you can click in between the digits in the -.300 and cursor over to the end and type in your -.025. Just clicking in the blank space beside your number doesn't seem to me to be working like it should.

Yes. It is 43 in the parameters and not the settings. And I always look at positive rotation as counter clockwise or turning the top of the part toward the back of the machine and rotating toward the positive side of the part. This is with the A axis sitting on the right side of the table and facing the left side. I guess it all depends also on which way your part is orientated to the A axis as well though.

Under parameter 43 in the HAAS controller is where you change the direction of the A axis. "REV ENCODER", and "REV POWER". If they are set to 0 then set them to 1 and visa versa. This should give you the rotation you need. HTH

What is the 2D/3D toggle switch at the bottom of your screen set to? Sometimes this can affect where you can select a point.

I'm hoping someone can help me figure out why my program is posting like it is. All I am wanting it to do is move to A45. and rotate the around the B axis to drill the three holes around the part. Instead it is rotating the A axis from A45. to A-45. then back to A45. I feel like my file is set up correctly but I'm not sure if there is something I am missing in the in the machine or control definition or if it is something with the post. I am using the generic haas 5ax trunnion mill post and running X8. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance. 600004-A-20.mcx-8

I could not live without the level manager! I would like to see a drag and drop option however. Select the entities you want to move to another level and drag them over the level manager and drop them into the level you want to move them to. Not sure if this would even be possible but it would be a neat improvement and a lot less clicks.

Hey Dave, There are also other ".workspace" files under the config folder. I had to change the setting under lathe.workspace on one of our computers this morning to get it to work. I figured this was because our 2 mill seats were in use at the time so mastercam opened up under a lathe seat.

Try unchecking the lead in/out box under the finishing transitions tab.

That seemed to help some. Thank you. I ended up going to the mastercam properties in the control panel and under the user interface changed the file dialog style from mastercam x style to microsoft windows standard and that seems to do the trick. I only have one other issue and that is when I right click in my operations manager there is right much of a delay before my options menu opens. It has not always done this and I can't figure out what is causing this problem.

I'm running X5 mu1. I'm having issues when I try to open a file in mastercam. I'm having a bit of a delay anytime I try try to open a file. whether it is an stl file or an mcx file or any other type of file mastercam is slow to respond from the time I hit file open to the time the file open window appears. This problem also occurs when posting programs. Once the window appears and I select the file I want to open everything runs smoothly from there. I am not having this problem in any other program I run on my computer. Just in mastercam. Has anyone had this problem and how can I resolve it. thank you in advance.

Make sure you have a value entered in the box for corner radius on the tool page for your undefined tool.

We had the same issues with a microsoft wireless laser 5000 running on windows 7 64 bit with x4. Replaced the microsoft mouse with a logitech mouse and had no more issues.

Think I have figured it out. Went to Settings/configuration/screen and checked Use 'Free' Mode in Dynamic Spin. This seems to have taken care of my problem.

Thanks for your reply Nick. I unchecked the box labeled Reset Cplanes to Top in Iso Gview under my cad settings and saved my config. but no luck.

Can anyone tell me how come my gview reverts to the top view when I rotate my part in a created wcs. For instance. If I set my view to iso and click the middle mouse wheel to rotate my part, it flips to the top view instead of rotating smoothly from the isometric view. I have searched the forum on this and have found some info but no real answers. Any help would be greatly appreciated because this is so aggravating. X4 MU1
