what caused this error?

Last night I shut down the computer like normal and this morning I started it and when I launched mastercam x7 this error pops up? I'm in the process of reinstalling now. What caused this? Looks like several other programs are not launching either

You updated your Cimco....

 

There is a 7.50.05 that fixes that error

 

Unfortunately;y, uninstall reinsatlll Mastercam is the only known fix

Did your computer install updates or did you install new programs? This was happening with X9--you probably updated something and that something replaced the .dll, not knowing several other programs use it. It has to do with Microsoft updating their .net redistributable.

How long does this install take? Been at it for half hour and only has 8% downloaded.

You need the Cimco 7.50.06 as the .05 did not fix the issue. But I did not find that Cimco gave my X7 any issues only the X9. So what are you updating?

I have no clue. Computer just updates when it pleases. That was last week. Been running x7 all this week no no problems til now.

I'm still on x7 because I could never get x8 to download off the website. Same problem I'm having now trying to reinstall x7. Been at it since 6 this morning. Got to 8% and froze it canceled and started again and it's been stuck at 2% for a long time now

Are you installing over the net or are you downloading the file?

Not sure. I'm on mastercam website I click the x7 mu2 full install then click save and then download. Then click view downloads and watch it download and stop at 2%
