verify teribly slow

does anyone have any suggestions on how to improve speed when using verify? 

hard to explain but it is just painfully slow?

What version of Mastercam are you using?  What type/size part? Toolpaths?  More information to give you a best solution.

 

Make sure that your computer meets at least the minimum specs for your Mastercam version.  I also always recommend a Workstation graphics card such as an Nvidia Quadro.  

 

You can turn down the precision that it is processing at, especially if it is a large part.

You can also try using a stock model for your verify.  Sometimes on large files I'll make a stock model of setup one and use that as my stock for the verify.  This way, once I verify setup one, I use the stock model and jump right into verifying setup 2 toolpaths.
