Rotary Axis Positioning-Spindle stopping and starting between rotations

Hi there,

Need a bit of help, Im working in MX-7 for a Fanuc controller. I am machining 3 slots around a diameter held in the A axis chuck mounted to the table of a VMC. When I post out my toolpaths all of the rotations are correct and it works fine but for some reason the Axes return to the home positions and the spindle stops before the A axis will rotate. Is there a way to fix this so that the tool only returns to the clearance plane I have specified at Z8.0 and the spindle does not stop?

Here is some of the code:

G01 Z1.2625 F60.
X0. F40.
X1.925
Y.275
X0.
X-.45
G00 Z8.
M09
M05
G91 G28 Z0.
G00 G90 A120. X-.45 Y-.385 S12000 M03
G43 H21 Z8.
M08
Z2.9573
G01 Z2.4593 F60.
X0. F40.
X2.
X2.035
Y.385

Any help would be very appriciated :)

Yes, what post? And can you create a zip file with your part file, post, machine def, and control def, so someone can take a look? I can see you are getting M05, and a G28 Z0., which could be caused by a switch in the post, a misc value setting, or something like "Force Toolchange" being turned on. Though I don't see a Tool call, or M6...
