What I meant is that we are very happy with the machine and the SuperNurbs capability. I do not have first hand experience with the Ecoline series from DMG.

 

A few applications engineers I have spoken with from various tooling/machine distributors don't have much positive feedback on them, but of course there opinions are potentially biased. Lack of rigidity was a reoccurring topic with the people I spoke with.

I have run duravertical 5100's in two shops. they have done whats asked of them with very minimal problems. they are a small light to medium duty machine. I do not know if they fall in the ecoline group?? given the choice without having to think about $ they would not be my top pick but that is unrealistic in a business sense. its about the $

We have 4 Okuma MB-56VA's...We wouldn't trade these machines for the best Mazak out there. Reliable, Incredible tech support, and the OSP control is beyond user friendly.

As is with everything, this is not the machine alone and also requires quality tooling (holders and tools) and careful, thought out programming.

I love my Doosan
