Okuma 2236 Alarm-B

Recommended Posts

I'm running a program (large) through DNC/DT on a Multus B400W/P200 control.

Using the DNC function, and the program has run fine until towards the end, and then I get the alarm:

2236 ALARM-B Program End Code Not Found

I've run it with a % at the end (normal programs are run this way) and without it, and I still get the error. Has anyone ever encountered this?

I did do some tests, I cut the programme down to a real short length (about 15k) and ran it, and it ran through fine. A larger programme (about 1.3mb) didn't, and it alarmed up.

I tried it with M2 and M30, and neither worked. Running it off the hard disk also produced the same error. We had the local Okuma tech down having a look, and he couldn't solve it either.

I'll try the M331 code, and if that doesn't work, I'll try the M0 code :)

Again, thanks for the responses.

Do you have the DNC-DT option? If yes, is it turned on with DNC buffer and the DNC communication soft keys?

Sure is Greg :)

It was working fine, DNC'ing a 24mb file, but the error showed up when it was almost done. Ian stopped in yesterday and we tried a number of things, but nothing resolved it. It appears to be a buffer issue, as the same programme, shortened right down works fine.
