Error when closing MasterCam

 Morning,

    Last couple of days I started getting this error warning when closing MC.

  I don't know what this ole Dummy did??

Looks like either the directory or most likely the file was some how set to read only would be my best guess

Ok JP, I'll try that again, thought I checked it.

Let me ask, I have like my mcamx9 and x8 located in two places, one set in a folder called "Documents" and another set in "my documents", is that usually the case?

that error seems more like a permission thing. It is finding the file it is just telling you that it can not do anything with it.

I would make sure that your permissions have not changed any, or try running mastercam in administrator mode.

When the McamX8 / X9 software is loaded there should be two folders that get installed in the documents location, the "my mcamx*" gets installed in the my documents location and the "shared mcamx*" gets installed to shared documents location of your computer, there is also a folder that gets installed to the program files location of the root C: directory.

 

The user needs to have read / write access to the "documents" files. (full control preferably)

 

That is if someone is running a default install,..

There is also the setup that sends the "my files" & "shared files" to a server location.
