Lower case letters mcam 2017

I have problems to get lowercase letters when I create text. Did exactly as the help file says but it will not work. I get uppercase letters all the time.

 

Solutions anyone?

Are you talking on the screen >>Create Letters or when posting?

 

If on screen, try using the Drafting font or a True Type Font even..it really depends on the purpose you need the letters

It works with that font  Drafting, but I want  Mastercam Box font.

It was working great in X9 but not in Mcam 2017

Well, I suspect you were doing something else because here's the Box font in X9....

The BOX font is drawn in Mastercam. I believe all the way back to V5 is where they originated. Been some threads of the years on how to make them and have Mastercam accept it.

I Just went into

 

C:\Program Files\mcam2017\common\Fonts\Box

 

There is a zipped up Box Lowercase file

 

Inside are fonts....

 

I am guessing unzipping that into the folder will give the user what he wants..

 

Looking deeper, they may have to be updated to 2017 but migration should handle that easily

Yes I never needed it, but this topic has come up a half dozen times since 2003.
