Mastercam 2017

Does anybody have a problem with losing the default machine when converting an .igs or .X_T or .STP? I open mastercam and the default machine load's into the tool path manager fine (Start option set to Mill not design BTW). But then I open a .X_T file and the machine disappears. I can select my machine and keep programming but why did I lose it in the first place?

I have not had this problem. I use parasolid a lot as well as part files from most common solid softwares.

If I ever get an iges I model it myself. I also open things in design from time to time if I have trouble then as e it out of mcam. That usually fixes anything.

Hope this work but here is a video of what happens.

Edit - Forgot to mention it opens in design mode instead of the Mill mode I have set as the default start option.

PS - I've never linked anything before or video'd anything for that matter. So.......here it goes.

Still working on the signature insert also!
