Invisible Gnomon - Bug or Setting?

So its been bugging me since we moved to 2017 and Im finally tired of ignoring it.. Anyone see something like this?

I'd be curious though, if you set your back ground color to something different if it shows?

 

I am wondering if it's just getting washed out by the background for some reason

Same thing I was thinking! Thats the crazy colors you are seeing now, thats not my usual setup Thanks for the idea though.

Ok if anyone has the same issue... What I did to fix it was go into config and change Screen > Scale display gnomons and text setting from 1.0 to 2.0, then change it back to my default setting of 1.0. Gnomons came back!

I actually had the same problem yesterday.  I had 3 separate mcam programs opened up at once for a couple of reasons.  When I closed one of the extras down, the gnomon came back.  I will try the above method next time as well.
