My boss was pleased with what i did with the post. And now he would like me to look into fixing something else in it.

We need to fix up the post so we can use a drill cycle and pierce some holes. we need the program to position, turn on waterjet (m07), pause (variable amount of time depending on material), turn off waterjet (m08),pause, go to next position, repeat. Can it be done? Got to remember we have an old post for MC7 i was told. dont know what post it started out as. I just started there monday.

Thanks for all that will ( I hope ) help me making the boss happy.

Bob

Ok,

Drill cycle is perfect for this application.

The pause is already setup, use dwell. You can hard code the turn off in there as well.

Yes what you are asking is feasible and relatively easy if I'm reading correctly.

What kind of control do you have?

What does the code look like for what you want to do?

Does the machine have a canned cycle for this? I would think that it should.

Does your control have user-defineable macro capability?

Need a lot of info, please
